The old views such as “I would <g class="gr_ gr_16 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="16" data-gr-id="16">never go</g> to the shrink” e.t.c., have been thankfull overcome and as we <g class="gr_ gr_17 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="17" data-gr-id="17">live in</g> such difficult and complicated years, the young people can ask <g class="gr_ gr_18 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="18" data-gr-id="18">for psychological</g> help and there is no shame at it. The same thing <g class="gr_ gr_19 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="19" data-gr-id="19">is relevant</g> in sports too and <g class="gr_ gr_6 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="6" data-gr-id="6">epsecially</g> in dynamic sports, during <g class="gr_ gr_20 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="20" data-gr-id="20">which the</g> mind detriment is often larger than the one of the body, <g class="gr_ gr_21 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="21" data-gr-id="21">the psychologist</g> becomes an insistent necessity.

Is the teacher capable for this assignment?

We
assume that he is if he is psychologically stable, even though nobody
can supplement a professional. The instructor should react like a second
father, being constantly in touch with the athlete for the issues that
concern them. Three simple things that everybody can do and are capable
to “dope” an athlete psychologically.

Do not stress your athlete with the weight of glory!

It is better to “boost” the athlete by telling them that he is the best, but keep it modest. Do not enlarge the expectations and do not constantly put bigger goals because you press him and he will mess it up. Step by step each time and you will succeed together! Self-confidence is good unless it reaches the ignorance <g class="gr_ gr_11 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-del replaceWithoutSep" id="11" data-gr-id="11">limits,</g> because if the failure occurs, it will be unbearable<g class="gr_ gr_14 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style replaceWithoutSep" id="14" data-gr-id="14">.It</g> is a mistake often done by the parents going to the <g class="gr_ gr_10 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="10" data-gr-id="10">trainings</g>, they press the athlete and <g class="gr_ gr_8 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_disable_anim_appear ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="8" data-gr-id="8">intefere</g> in the work of the instructor. Either you stay out and keep your role or you harm your own child.

Show them their mistakes!

It has happened to me to go to an event and watch the instructor <g class="gr_ gr_10 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="10" data-gr-id="10">fighting with</g> the judges. He does well doing it, protecting his athlete, but after the <g class="gr_ gr_8 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="8" data-gr-id="8">game</g> he should show them their mistakes and not make <g class="gr_ gr_12 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="12" data-gr-id="12">great announcements</g> daring Gods and monsters. You should show respect for <g class="gr_ gr_13 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="13" data-gr-id="13">the effort</g> of the opponent as well, show to your athlete their mistakes, as they were undoubtedly made, and you will get what you deserve at the next game. There is not always deception at the faults of the referees and do not start a witch hunt.

Do not ask more than they can give

“Beat him up, go on him, break him apart”, we have listened to them in every corner<g class="gr_ gr_8 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation multiReplace" id="8" data-gr-id="8">….</g>Of course, they are not the guidance of an instructor to <g class="gr_ gr_12 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Style multiReplace" id="12" data-gr-id="12">lead an</g> athlete on the victory. Give them a real plan that they will be able to follow. Do not ask crazy things or things they have never achieved, not even once during training. You stress and press them and they will fail. Making one step at a time, even a small one, towards improvement will help them set the ground for something bigger.

PS: As I witness manners of mainly older instructors to fling abuse to their athletes in order to bring results, respect is not needed by the athlete but is gained. As an <g class="gr_ gr_4 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="4" data-gr-id="4">instructor</g> you should think that you are a model to them and when you fling abuse to them in order to learn, he will do the same to the next person to come.

Source: Fightsports.gr (edited by Kimonas Ozz)

The sports psychologist profession is nowadays popular and necessary in every sport and especially in…

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

32
68,55
post-286","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-instructor","tag-phycology
["GET
