Ruggiero Lanotte: “We are waiting for about 1000-1200 people”

In view of the World Championship Junior Male/Female and Veteran Male/Female our website contacted with the organizer and Vice President of the European International Taekwon-Do Federation (E.I.T.F.) Mr. Ruggiero Lanotte, who gave us an interview on the latest developments.

This September you are going to host the 12th Junior and 7th Veteran World championship in Andria. How many and which days will the games take place?

The championship will last seven days, it starts on 4th September with registrations and weight controlls, which will continue up to 6th September, while on 7th September we will enter on the flow of the Championship, the competitions will go on for 4 days, so on 11th September there will be the finals and medal awarding with a closing ceremony.

How many people do you expect to visit Andria during the championship? Are you ready to manage such a number?

We are waiting for about 1000-1200 people in Andria. We are always ready to host a lot of people, even more than that who are coming.

Is there something new that we are going to see in this championship?

We cannot say anything, if there is something new this is a surprise, just come and watch.

Give us some reasons someone should visit Andria and watch the World championship.

I just think that Puglia is one of the best places in Italy, with very good food, beatiful places, sea and full of culture. Moreover people should watch the championship because taekwondo is a very interesting sport and almost all the world will take part to this Championship.
